1. Construction in winter refers to the construction when the ambient temperature is -5~5℃. Only when the temperature is lower than -5℃ can the construction be carried out after taking reliable cold protection measures.
2. Winter construction technology must be adopted in winter construction. Close, wind, heat and keep warm the working environment, and keep the temperature of the lining above 5℃ after pouring.
3. During the construction of refractory castable in winter, the dry material should be stored in the heating room first and stirred with hot water. The temperature of mixing material should be kept above 10℃. Chemical coagulant or antifreeze should not be added.
4. During the construction in the furnace in winter, the heat insulation layer should be built up first to improve the frost resistance of the refractory layer. After construction, the masonry shall be covered with plastic sheeting and then covered with hay. For a newly built kiln, the insulation time shall not be less than 10 days. Exposure to the cold atmosphere is strictly prohibited.
5. The construction should be carried out indoors in rainy days. All refractory materials, conveyances, work areas and masonry should be rainproof. The unfinished project shall cover the roof, plug holes and plug leaks; the air holes on the upper part of the completed furnace shall be closed; the finished ground prefabricated parts shall be raised and capped; it is strictly prohibited to soak in water.
6. When the ambient temperature is ≥30℃, it can be regarded as construction in hot weather. In summer days, the water temperature and material temperature should be controlled below 30℃. The materials under the hot sun should be cooled before use.
7. The construction of refractory castables in hot weather should be arranged in the morning or evening as far as possible. Cover with curtain in time after pouring, should frequently bask in water to cool down.
